Digipack examples

These are examples of digipacks. I can take ideas from these for my own digipacks. I haven't decided on the amount of sides on the digipack. For a basic design I will need a front cover, lyrics/song booklet an d aback with all the songs on it. The best example of this is the AC/DC album which has both a front, middle and back to the album, this is a basic yet effective design compared to more modern album designs which may have more pannels to it.
This is the digipack style layout which I am hoping to use  when my digipack is ready to be created. I have chose this design as it is simple but effective, although it wont contain as much as most albums, the album only needs 4 pannels for the necessary items of the album, included int his will be CD and Booklet. The front will have the name of the band and the album title on it. The back of the album with have the track list on the back of it.

Filming update

This is our schedule for our times and dates when the scenes will be recorded. We have decided on:

We have taken our ideas from our past storyboard and have kept to most of our draft ideas. The shots/ideas we have vary on location as well as time. We have kept to:

  1. New Brighton Promenade, where we will record the band on the beach or on the prom itself
  2. The band performing the song itself in the drama studio with the song and outside without the song
  3. A time-lapse of the Liverpool skyline
Other examples where we may record could be:

  1. The field on the school premises
  2. New Brighton beach

As a group and actors we have decided on time and dates for some scenes but not all of them yet. The list can be found below:
  • Time of first shoot: 12th November - 1:15-3:00 pm, in the drama studio. We have decided on these times and this location as it fits in well with our school day and we need a bit of time to set up the props.
  • New Brighton Promenade, we haven't decided yet on a time or a day, we have however decided that we should do it before it gets dark so we can get the full effect of the prom as well as the beach.
  • A time lapse of the Liverpool skyline, we have decided to record this in the late evening or early morning as thats when the prom isn't as busy as it is throughout the day. We have also decided on this as the skyline looks better with the lights on in Liverpool than it does throughout the day.

Examples Of Postcards

These are some examples of the postcards which we used for our music video, we got the idea from Adams song by Blink-182. We liked the idea of it as the video itself had
parts which were inside of the cards, this is an example of the post card idea we went for. The postcard has been zoomed into by the camera, as it is being zoomed in, there is a video playing within the photo.

These are examples of out post cards:

First Film Review

For our first video shoot we took short clips of actors with our created cards. We had 20-25 actors hold up the cards and push it out in-front of them.

The first shoot went down well as we had enough actors to film the scenes which we wanted too and also had others incase we wanted to add some more into the video. We had started using iMovie to start the editing on the first few postcard videos. We haven't fully decided what the general bits of editing would be, we have ideas for them but can't decide on which which flows throughout the video effectively.

Second video recording

For our second recording we used the same people but multiple times, however this time we did close ups of the cards which we made. This is so we have a variety of shots when we edit the video at a later date.
We recorded the second scene in the tutorial room with the correct lighting, so that the cards aren't too light or dark so that the camera can pick them up easy. We also recorded it so that we could hardly see the faces of the actors which we use.

Video shoot, Part 1

For our first video shoot we took short clips of actors with our created cards. We had 20-25 actors hold up the cards and push it out in-front of them when we said action.

The location of this video shoot was outside the school on a patch of grass, in which the camera was placed on a tri-pod while the actors stood a set distance away so that we were able to use the rule of thirds after we had edited it.  We also took it there as it was a nice day and the sun isn't directly behind the actors so we can clearly see them on the recording.
